There are many types of enemies in Elden Ring, some of them more bizarre than others. Both the Living Jars and Glintstone Sorcerers can be creepy in their own right, with their scuttling limbs and massive, staring stone heads. A combination of the two takes these foes’ unsettling nature to the next level.

Redditor Alarming-Spend-5405 recently shared a short, one-minute-long video showcasing a bizarre encounter with a strange and very specific glitch. The glitch kicks in while a player is running around on what appears to be a rooftop, fighting a Glintstone Sorcerer while both are surrounded by Living Jars. These Living Jars look much like smaller, less talkative versions of Iron Fist Alexander, a popular NPC. At first, the fight seems to be going well for the player, but problems arise when they kill the Glintstone Sorcerer.
As soon as the body hits the floor, the player dodges out of the way of a leaping attack by one of the Living Jars. The monster face-plants into the dead Glintstone Sorcerer and the player begins engaging another of the many enemies on the rooftop. However, when the Living Jar gets back up, the body of the Glintstone Sorcerer goes with it, creating the illusion that the two enemies have fused together. The player spends the next 50 seconds dodging blows and watching the combined enemies stumble toward them before finally finishing the crowd of foes off.
As of writing, it appears that other fans are impressed by this weird Elden Ring glitch. Several users noted that this occurrence is in line with the lore around the Living Jars, which are supposed to place the corpses of great warriors inside themselves to grow stronger. One user even noted that it would be interesting if these enemies fused with or consumed other fallen foes intentionally. However, it seems that what happened to Alarming-Spend-5405 was likely a bug. It certainly doesn’t appear to have impacted the Living Jar’s skill set at all.
