These include full-fledged secret bosses like Lichdragon Fortissax and Dragonlord Placidusax and hidden areas like Miquella’s Haligtree, where gamers find Malenia. Players stumble upon hidden places and secret mechanics of Elden Ring, sometimes finding something genuinely bizarre. Reddit user Nakensteak has discovered an intriguing correlation between the Erudition emote and Glintstone Helmets, usually worn by Raya Lucaria sorcerers. The user uploaded a short video showing bizarre detail about said emote and helmet. Nakensteak appears in a dungeon wearing a famous protective headgear called the Twinsage Glintstone Crown and performs the Erudition gesture. The Twinsage Glintstone Crown is part of the Raya Lucarian Sorcerer Set and features two bearded faces adjacent, with green and blue glintstone spikes on top. What happened next was quite surprising but also pleasing to the eye.
During the Erudition emote, the player character raises their arms in the air while looking directly up. When Nakensteak’s character raises arms, the glintstone spikes on their helm start glowing beautifully. PvP gamers mainly use emotes in Elden Ring as a way to taunt their opponents after defeating them. However, this phenomenon related to the Erudition gesture and the Twinsage Glintstone Crown was largely unheard of in the Elden Ring community, as seen in the comments. Most users were astonished to see the glowing glintstone helmet and put forward exciting theories about why this happens but couldn’t arrive at a solid conclusion.
Elden Ring players who want to try this experiment must have one of the four glintstone helmets and the Erudition gesture. The Twinsage Glintstone Crown seen in the footage can be found in Raya Lucaria Academy near the Church of the Cuckoo Site of Grace. Meanwhile, the Erudition gesture is given by the NPC Thops when players give him Glintstone Academy Key as part of his quest.
Elden Ring is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
