On top of being the largest SoulsBorne game to date (at least in its base form), Elden Ring is also arguably the most approachable of the games, since its open world offers many options for progression. Because of this, tons of people are getting in on the game, even Elon Musk, who shared some brief details of his build. Here’s how to copy that build easily.

Elden Ring Elon Musk Build
Elon Musk did not describe his build in full detail, but he did drop several generalities in a tweet responding to someone asking for advice.
According to Musk, his build is a Dex/Int hybrid using a shield in the offhand, and switching between staff, rapier, and claw in the main hand. He switches armor depending on the situation, moves his talismans around a lot, focuses on multiple, small hits, and summons when able. This build undoubtedly makes for a lot of boss cheese, taking advantage of specific situations, but is not hard to put together on the fly.
There are many options to make this build early, so here’s a speedrun guide to Elon Musk’s build.
For a decent shield, hunt down the Great Turtle Shell, one of Elden Ring’s best shields, as it mixes bearable weight with a good ability and passive. The Prisoner origin starts with a good rapier (Estoc) and staff, which takes care of two more weapons.
As for claws, the Hookclaws can easily be obtained in Stormveil Castle and comes with a pre-packaged bleed proc. Armor, both heavy and light, is not hard to come by through shopping or drops.
Getting multiple talismans for different situations can only be done by hunting them down throughout the game, but there are a few to look for. Some of the best talismans in Elden Ring, like the Great Jar’s Arsenal, are particularly arduous to get, but well worth the effort.
All of this is vague enough for modification, though it may not prove effective for all players. Since Elon Musk revealed his Elden Ring build, the debate has continued as to whether or not it is viable. Players are, of course, encouraged to try it out and see.
Elden Ring is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
