Luckily, Elden Ring’s armory is akin to a fashion designer’s wardrobe. Options range from being a literal hobo to an odd case of Kanye West taste, but there are styles in between. That might be overwhelming for those who are too busy worrying about Margit’s next appearance (whoops). Hence, allow this list to present the most fashionable armor so that thee can be too sexy for thy shirt, it hurts, doth it not Tarnished?

Updated April 28th, 2022, by Sid Natividad: The best looking armor in Elden Ring is indeed a subject of a conundrum. There are lots of pretty and coolest armor in Elden Ring. But that only means the Elden Ring fashion “scene” is ever busy. There are even invaders who call themselves the Fashion Police looking to kill other players after judging their Elden Bling.

It just so happens that there are a lot more options in the Elden Ring armor selection. It would only be fair to include even more cool armor sets so that players can have expanded choices. So do consider these armor sets we’ve added in thy journey to become Elden Lord. They might even attract the right maidens.

15 Preceptor’s Set

Location : Seluvis after he dies in Seluvis’ Rise in Three Sisters

Oversized fedoras are in fashion, especially when worn by a Moonveil user. The best big hat in the game is arguably from the Preceptor’s set which is Seluvis’ choice of attire. Lore-wise, they represent one of the highest esteem a sorcerer can achieve in Liurnia of the Lakes.

Underneath the hat is an intricate planetary or star alignment pattern or chart which reinforces the intellectual flair of this armor piece. The robes themselves are not too shabby and compared to the other wizard robes, they look neat and orderly. If there was one thing Seluvis did right, it was dying so that the players can have his armor set.

14 Beast Champion Set

Location : Drops from Knight Bernahl either in Warmasters Shack in Limgrave or Crumbling Farum Azula

Knight Bernahl’s Beast Champion set is already one of the most intricately-patterned armor in the game. Players will also be delighted to know that Berhanl was wearing the altered version, and they can “un-alter” it back to its original state with Tailoring Tools or through Boc the Seamster.

Once reverted to the original form, it becomes the most regal armor set in Elden Ring. That cape is second to none in terms of handsomeness. The white and blue colors complement one another well, and it also makes the armor more aesthetically compatible with pieces from other sets.

13 Goldmask’s Set

Location : Drops from Goldmask below the Leyndell colosseum hill after completing his and brother Corhyn’s quest

It’s not just a bikini. It’s a golden bikini to be witnessed by the forefathers one and all! Of course, any other Tarnished wears it a lot better than the beef-jerky man that is Goldmask. It’s also one of the most revealing armor sets in the game but if one’s Tarnished has the physique to proudly flaunt, then why cover it with steel?

It’s also the perfect armor for sunbathing in Leyndell, Ashen Capital once the Erdtree has burned and the UV rays are at their peak due to the carbon dioxide poisoning in the Leyndell air. Don’t expect the armor to have any form of protection, combat style has to be all or nothing.

12 Malenia’s Set

Location : Enia in Roundtable Hold after defeating Malenia, Blade of Miquella

This armor is for people who have never known defeat. Well, at least the original owner didn’t. But none of that matters because Malenia’s simple yet elegant war robe is one of the most unique in Elden Ring. It’s certainly a fashion statement as well, indicating that the players have defeated the most difficult boss ever in the history of Soulsborne games.

The helmet is also a lovely Valkyrie piece that fits in well with other golden or brass-colored armor sets. It even adds a wig just to remind players whom the armor belonged to, in case they’ve forgotten that Malenia is the Blade of Miquella, and she has never known defeat.

11 Night’s Cavalry Set

Location : Twin Night Cavalry guarding a caravan in the Consecrated Snowfields

Players get to obtain this medium armor set a little late in the game despite seeing Night Cavalry bosses early game. The fight to obtain it is also daunting and somewhat unfair. However, black goes well on anything, so one can’t go wrong with this armor set.

The Night’s Cavalry set is as black as the starless night sky and has a tattered black cape just in case people don’t get that the wearer is too edgy for them. To that end, it’s also a good alternative to the Blaidd set if players want to cosplay as Guts the Black Swordsman before he got the Berserker armor.

10 Blaidd’s Set

Location : Killing Blaidd in Ranni’s Rise after completing Ranni’s questline

Blaidd’s armor set is a status symbol. It’s proof that players are patient enough (or worship Ranni too much) to finish her dizzyingly arduous questline. In any case, the questline has some incredible rewards, but the cherry on top is Blaidd’s armor, complete with a wolf helmet which may or may not be his actual head since he’s a Wolf-man.

Everything from the fur cape to the elegant trimmings in his armor makes it stand out from the usual pan-textured stuff that players loot. Also, there’s no better armor for cosplaying in-game as Guts from Berserk. Berserk fans owe it to themselves to grab the armor.

9 Hoslow’s Set

Location : Volcano Manor’s third contract in the Mountaintops of the Giants

A “knight in shining armor” is actually a negative description since it typically refers to combatants who are inexperienced and don’t have battle scars yet. However, players will easily forgive Hoslow’s armor set despite being pristine. The whole get-up is dashing and gorgeous.

The red cloth pairs well with the chrome and silver and gives the armor an elegant yet deadly appearance thanks to the elongated horns of the helmet. Sadly, it can be difficult to mix and match the pieces of Hoslow’s set with most armor sets because of clean it is, but one wouldn’t want to separate the individual pieces from one another now, would they?

8 Rotten Duelist Set

Location : All over the Consecrated Snowfield, dropped by Rotten Duelists

It’s difficult to obtain since the individual parts are dropped by Rotten Duelists in a secret optional area but this whole armor set is on fire. Never mind the armor stats, most endgame players typically have enough skill to dodge and roll that form takes priority over function and this armor’s form is fantastic.

Any Tarnished who wears it becomes the big Red Rotten Hood thanks to that flowy cape and oversized hood which hides the freaky gladiator helmet. Wear it in PvP, and it should be enough to make the opponent hesitant, facing off against someone who would readily subject their six-pack to danger just for a fashion statement. Besides, the cloth is already red, no one will notice all the bleeding.

7 Raging Wolf Set

Location : Help Knight Bernahl in Volcano Manor assassinate two targets

Much like the Rotten Duelist Set, the Raging Wolf Set is also rare and raging red. It requires a specific set of triggers and restraint in the Volcano Manor questlines to be obtainable. Players can get it as a reward for killing the NPC who wore it originally in the Fortified Manor in Leyndell, Royal Capital.

The armor appears to be inspired by a Viking helmet paired with fire and aged iron for the other metallic parts. The faded red cape is just an added bonus, lending much to the rugged warrior look that fits in well with Elden Ring’s setting.

6 Tree Sentinel Set

Location : Auriza Hero’s Grave dungeon, rewarded after a certain puzzle that destroys the chariots

Ever wanted to be a tanky character without sacrificing aesthetics or looking like Ganondorf? Well, the Tree Sentinel Set is the best armor for that kind of preference. But of course, players have probably coveted that armor as soon as they stepped in Limgrave as it’s the same one worn by the Tree Sentinel boss.

As expected, it’s every bit as majestic, shiny, and golden as the Tree Sentinel boss’ attire. Those broad pauldrons and the plumed Corinthian-style helmet makes it look like an armor fit for the gods. Of course, there’s also a cape— there has to be a cape. Last but not least, it’s the perfect “Giant Dad” armor. The legend never dies.

5 Carian Knight Set

Location : In Raya Lucaria Academy in the rotating water wheel lift area, platforming is needed

Players will have to jump like-a Mario in order to get this set in the darkest recesses of Raya Lucaria Academy. The effort is worth it, however, since the Carian Knight set is just about the most intricately ornamented armor in Elden Ring. Zoom in on those pauldrons and all the tiny sophisticated details pop out.

It’s also one of the few armor sets in the game that come intact with their jewels and other decorations. Not like those bargain bin armor sets with poor Rune resale value. Regardless, it looks fitting for battle mages. The helmet is a little too plain but just don the Navy Hood (the blue hood that adds more FP) in its place.

4 Alberich’s Set

Location : Fortified Manor in Leyndell, Royal Capital

Alberich is one tough Tarnished assuming players actually fought him in the Roundtable Hold but sadly, he doesn’t drop his armor upon death. Instead, players have to grab it in the less cool version of the Roundtable Hold in Leyndell.

The trip is worth it though since Alberich’s set. It has red rubies which are actually red glintstones said to be formed by the blood of sacrifices. So in essence, his armor set is like the edgelord variant for sorcerers and wizards to make them look less nerdy. It’s working as intended.

3 Maliketh’s Set

Location : Enia in the Roundtable Hold after defeating Maliketh

Maliketh’s Set can be a close contender for a Berserk cosplay resource since it’s darker, angstier, and a lot pointer compared to the other blackened armor sets. Sadly, there’s no cape, but that’s somewhat forgiven since the gold trimmings on Maliketh’s armor provide a beautiful contrast to the death-black metal.

It’s a good thing that helmet also comes with a plume or a mane because that easily makes up for the lack of a full cape. Sure enough, lots of invaders and PvP players love this armor because it’s part of the psychological warfare. It means they nearly finished the game, and that they’re angry and hungry for death.

2 Snow Witch Set

Location : Chest in Renna’s Rise at the back of the elevator room

Ranni the Witch has been one of the most well-introduced characters in Elden Ring, and she serves as a perfect poster girl. That doll face combined with the pallid sorcerer garb and oversized hat gave her a dreamlike yet respectable appearance.

Players can channel the same energy by donning her set which is every bit as lovely as it was in the trailers and while Ranni is wearing it. The clothes themselves aren’t that impressive, but the hat completes the look and is more than the sum of the armor set’s other parts.

1 Ronin’s Set

Location : Finish Yura’s questline or kill Shabriri near the Site of Grace in the Mountaintops of the Giants

Elden Ring’s starting armor sets are already aesthetically impressive, especially the Samurai class but it turns out, there’s an even more stylish samurai-themed armor later in the game. That would be the Ronin’s set that comes with the Iron Kasa helmet.

It’s quite premium since players can only obtain it later on near the end of the game. But the whole set is simply so mysteriously imposing thanks to the helmet that it’s more like a badge of honor or milestone reward. Everything else in the armor set just falls in place and the best part is that it’s highly compatible with other sets so mixing and matching isn’t an issue. Maidenless haters will call it a badminton puck, Elden Lords call it peak Elden Bling.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S.
