Since its release, many Elden Ring players have documented their struggles against the Malenia boss fight. As a recent example, it took one fan over 1,800 tries and 38 hours to beat her, an astounding number considering it contributed to over a quarter of their total deaths. On the other hand, some fans have accomplished seemingly impossible tasks, such as beating her as a wretch using a club. One Elden Ring player takes it to the next step by defeating Malenia on a dance pad.

This accomplishment belongs to Twitch user MissMikkaa, who has just beaten Malenia at level 1 with a dance pad. MissMikkaa has shared a clip from the fight on her Twitter account and mentions that it took her 553 tries and over 15 hours to overcome this challenge. Surprisingly, she used only four healing flasks in this encounter. In a follow-up tweet, MissMikkaa confirms that she plans on taking on Maliketh next.

The clip shows MissMikkaa expertly dodging most of Malenia’s attacks before managing to heal herself in the middle of the onslaught. She mentions that this fight could be the one where she comes out victorious and manages to get Malenia to extremely low health. MissMikkaa dodges a few more times before landing the killing blow.

Defeating Malenia in a regular Elden Ring playthrough is tough enough, but beating her at level 1 using a dance pad adds multiple layers to challenge to the fight. MissMikkaa bested Malenia on a dance pad last month, so it looks like she has been practicing the fight for this purpose. Still, it’s probably no surprise that it took MissMikkaa over 15 hours to beat her, and it’ll be interesting to see what the total time for this run ends up being.

Playing Dark Souls games on a dance pad appears to be popular among players wanting to challenge themselves. Twitch streamer Luality defeated a Demon’s Souls boss on a dance pad when it came out on PS5, and a Reddit user achieved a similar feat against Elden Ring’s final boss. It’s not limited to the Souls games either, as gamers have managed to beat even Hades on a dance pad.

Elden Ring is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
