Runes are also dropped by Elden Ring’s enemies when killed, meaning that players are constantly on the lookout for places near a Site of Grace where they can kill enemies quickly before making them respawn. So far, the best rune farming spot in Elden Ring is located near Mohgwyn Palace, at the Palace Approach Ledge-Road Site of Grace. This spot features a group of enemies in a location that makes it easy and efficient to kill and reset them. It is seen by many as a simple and effective rune farming location.

One player has developed an even easier method to farm the runes from the enemies near Mohgwyn Palace in Elden Ring. Rather than use their own hands to get runes, they have created a robot to do the farming for them. The rune farming robot is an interesting invention, as it uses light sensors to know where the Site of Grace is. It rests at the site and then walks the player’s character to the enemies, where it uses the Wave of Gold attack to instantly take out the lot before stepping calmly back to the Site of Grace to repeat the process.

Many Elden Ring fans online are often looking to combat those who try and easily farm runes while not playing the game. While IZICA’s robot is technically an instance of AFK rune farming in Elden Ring, something that many players find problematic, the majority of the comments under the Reddit post said that this was an example of AFK farming that they can allow, due to the fact that the robot was being used offline and other players didn’t have to suffer the robot’s wrath.

Rune farmers in Elden Ring’s PvP often use the irritating tactic of hiding their characters, so an invader can’t reach them. However, there have been plenty of ways that Elden Ring players have been fighting back, such as one fan who fought fire with fire by also hiding their character in a spot that was hard to reach. With the invention of a rune farming robot, hopefully those who use Elden Ring’s PvP to gain extra currency will realize there are less annoying ways to get tons of XP and money.

Elden Ring is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
