Reddit user NotUrAvgDbdPlayer recently shared an image for their Elden Ring playtime, which claimed that they have played the game for 857 hours, 38 minutes, and 27 seconds. The post also claimed that NotUrAvgDbdPlayer hasn’t had Elden Ring since launch, and instead has only owned the game for about two months. If true, it makes their 857 hour playtime that much more astonishing, as it would mean playing the game for an average of more than 12 hours per day.

Various users who commented on the post have expressed their doubts that NotUrAvgDbdPlayer earned their Elden Ring playtime through genuine play, accusing them of leaving their console on or AFK rune farming. NotUrAvgDbdPlayer has denied those claims, and they have also pushed back the idea that they don’t have a life outside Elden Ring, saying they work 40 hours per week at a job, go to the gym, and do other things besides playing the game.
Regardless, it’s still interesting to see an Elden Ring player with such a high playtime. As it so happens, NotUrAvgDbdPlayer is nearing the Elden Ring max playtime cap. It was recently discovered by another Elden Ring player that the max playtime the game will measure is 999:59:59 for a single character, so after that point, NotUrAvgDbdPlayer will need to keep track of their playtime on their own if they want to know how long they have been playing the game.
While the Reddit user is nearing the Elden Ring max playtime, they still have quite a ways to go if they want to hit the max level cap. Elden Ring’s max level is 713, which players hit after they have managed to upgrade each stat to 99. This is a significant time investment, to say the least, and it’s also not necessary at all for anyone interested in beating Elden Ring’s toughest bosses or unlocking all the game’s achievements. It’s an incredible challenge that’s really reserved only for truly diehard Elden Ring fans.
Elden Ring is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
