Redditor YourAverageGamer31 is one such passionate player, as they accomplish an extremely difficult task - defeating both Radagon and the Elden Beast with just one hit each. If that was not enough, they do this in Journey 3. For those that are unfamiliar, Journey 3 is Elden Ring’s equivalent to New Game++, as it is the third playthrough, which means all the enemies have even more health and are more difficult. Utilizing the Ancient Dragon Lightning Strike along with many different buffs, the player completely destroys both end-game bosses almost instantaneously.
Of course, new players should not take this as some sort of cheesy way to defeat these bosses - the only reason this works is because of the Elden Ring player’s setup and build. The build that the player is running is as follows:
Gravel Stone Seal (+15% Dragon Cult Incantations) Jellyfish Shield (+20% all damage when using Contagious Fury skill) Golden Vow (+15% damage) Howl of Shabribri (+20% damage) Lightning Shrouded Cracked Tear (+20% all lightning attacks) Godfrey Icon (+15% damage of charged spells) Red Branch Feather (+20% when HP is Low) Lightning Scorpion Talisman (+12% lightning damage) Kindred of Rot’s Exultation (+20% when poisoned) Mushroom Crown (+10% when poisoned).
Before the player goes into the boss arena, they use a fetid pot to poison themselves in order to gain the buffs from the Kindred of Rot’s Exultation as well as the Mushroom Crown. The Redditor mentions in the comments that they did not just stumble upon this build or this method for defeating two of the most difficult bosses in Elden Ring - they worked hard and spent countless hours trying and retrying different things. It seems they have accomplished this in the regular game, Journey 2, and now Journey 3 - and they have their sights set on repeating this success when they begin Journey 4 in the future.
Elden Ring is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
