Meanwhile, others are still exploring Elden Ring’s massive open world and brawling with its powerful bosses. Naturally, many players take several hours to vanquish these formidable foes, including popular Twitch streamer Atrioc, who reportedly spent seven hours trying to defeat a Tree Sentinel in Elden Ring, one of the optional bosses in the game.

Most Elden Ring boss fights are usually enthralling and full of action, but quite often they can become hilarious when things don’t go as planned. One viral clip shows such an instance where an Elden Ring player jumps to their death during a boss fight. There are also times when players execute their fight strategies brilliantly to defeat a boss, like one Reddit user who planned their boss fight to near perfection. The user uploaded a clip where they go one on one with a Tree Sentinel and, astoundingly, the Redditor kills the Tree Sentinel with a single strike and without leveling up their weapon or character.

The Redditor used several damage buffs before taking on the Elden Ring boss, and applying them all took nearly 45 seconds. These included consumables like Flask of Wonderous Physick, Bloodboil Aromatic, and Frenzyflame Stone, which significantly enhanced the player’s damage-yielding abilities, thus enabling them to kill the Tree Sentinel in one hit. Other users expressed their views in the comments section, many of whom were critical of the original poster and person stating that, “OP charged up like it was the final fight in a season of Dragon Ball Z.” Consequently, the Reddit user clarified that this was an experiment to explore the damage potential outside of character and weapon upgrades.

Tree Sentinels are arguably among the most famous bosses of Elden Ring. One newcomer to FromSoftware games miraculously defeated a Tree Sentinel at level one after three hours of attempts, and the feat soon became viral. Another fan used a mod to transform the Tree Sentinel’s horse into Thomas the Tank Engine.

However, Tree Sentinels are optional bosses and do not affect the main storyline, while many other bosses are immensely important. The game’s gripping plot includes quite a few Elden Ring bosses with a tragic backstory, which famously includes Morgott, The Omen King. The Omen King is mainly known for his witty smack talk, but many gamers are not aware of the truly dreadful events of his life, which contribute greatly to Elden Ring’s lore.

Elden Ring is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
