The Flask of Wondrous Physick is an extremely useful item found in Elden Ring’s open world, allowing players to combine tears which provide unique buffs to the player. Tailoring the flask’s combination to a specific weapon or play style is the best way to get the most out of it and is often a key part of creating an incredibly powerful build.

Reddit user Adamantiumok shared what must be one of the deadliest combinations of buffs and spells it is possible to have in Elden Ring. Describing the build as basically having a mech suit, the clip shows the player walking slowly towards host players in PvP as they tank every hit and continuously fire a near unavoidable cascade of frenzy magic. From the beginning of each fight to the end takes about 10 seconds to kill two leveled PvP players, which is impressive because some PvP fights in Elden Ring can become wars of attrition.

Adamantiumok was able to achieve this effect using The Flask of Wondrous Physick with a tear that cancels all FP usage for a time, which is Elden Ring’s version of a magic bar. This is combined with an Ironjar Aromatic in a perfume bottle, which normally uses FP to reduce incoming damage. Finally, this combination is paired with a devastating spell called Unendurable Frenzy, which shoots a series of area-filling frenzy bolts out of the players eyes until either they run out of FP or they receive madness damage.

Such a unique and powerful combination of buffs just goes to show how versatile Elden Ring’s combat system is when players explore different builds. The description of the build being like a mech suit is very appropriate, as using the Unendurable Frenzy spell limits the player’s movement to a slow and terrifying walk. Then, even if enemy players do get close, they find their attacks do almost no damage to the unstoppable player. The amount of icons below the Reddit user’s stamina bar shows just how many buffs the player has active.

As shown from the clip, this build is best suited for PvP in areas with tight bridges or narrow paths, so that the host players cannot easily get away once the fight begins. Bridges often become very popular spots for PvP in Elden Ring and other FromSoftware games because of this pressure it puts on the players.

Elden Ring is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
