Liurnia of the Lakes is another crucial area for Elden Ring gamers and is usually the second area to get unlocked after Limgrave. Elden Ring players can access Liurnia in Elden Ring by passage beneath Godrick the Grafted’s throne room in Stormveil Castle or a narrow cliffside path. In addition to being one of the largest landmasses by area, Liurnia of the Lakes is the westernmost region of Elden Ring. However, one Elden Ring fan has discovered something unusual that might prove this wrong.

Reddit user vigilx uploaded an image on the Elden Ring subreddit showing a screenshot of their gameplay. The picture shows their character standing beside a cliff on the seaside, and an enormous landmass is visible in the distance. The landmass is quite far away as there are miles of sea between Liurnia and it. However, looking at Elden Ring’s map, it becomes clear that Liurnia is indeed the westernmost land area in the game, giving rise to speculation and numerous questions.

The most obvious question is, what is this mysterious landmass in Elden Ring, and why doesn’t it appear on the map? Moreover, fans wonder if the aforementioned land was always there or if the devs added it in the latest update. At this point, there is no consensus among Elden Ring players about the nature of the mysterious land spotted west of Liurnia in Elden Ring. Some gamers believe that FromSoftware is adding subtle hints with each update and building anticipation for a possible sequel, while others think it could be a bonus area in the next Elden Ring update.

Most players agree the landmass was added in the latest Elden Ring update, along with other additions like new cosmetics and Colosseums. It is a brand new PvP mode, with three Colosseums, each with different rules. Gamers eagerly waited for the Colosseums mode in Elden Ring for several months, and now it is finally available for them to enjoy.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
