This genre of games is usually a niche market because of the steep learning curve, but Elden Ring has become a smash hit among reviewers and gamers alike. Elden Ring has exceeded expectations and lived up to the hype that started to form from early announcements that George R.R Martin would be working on the game. The action RPG would even go on to win the prestigious Game of The Year award at the 2022 Game Awards.

The game has been praised for its approach on open world and the variety of bosses in the game. Elden Beast, the final boss in the game, is one of the most memorable bosses from Elden Ring because of the beautiful yet dangerous spells the creature can cast on players. One user has figured out a way to counter one of these attacks in a Reddit thread posted online. In the clip, DaddyWhoGames can be seen fighting the Elden Beast and finds a crucial detail during the moment when the boss goes to cast its elden rings attack from the sky. Instead of dodging the attacks, the user launches their weapon at the beast, knocking it out of the sky, then follows it up with a series of attacks and finishing it off with a critical strike.

With this tactic, the player was able to defeat the final boss in under two minutes. In the post they explained that they were using a Blackflame Blade build which allowed them to do massive damage to the beast. Several users replied to the post in shock of how well the strategy shredded the final boss. Other users pointed out that the Blackflame build is an underrated Elden Ring build.

Elden Ring has proven that it has the potential to be one of those games that people can come back to time and time again and still find new strategies for the bosses in the game. It looks as if FromSoftware will continue to provide support for the game as well; just recently the company released an update that added a Colosseum to Elden Ring and there have been rumors of a story-based DLC since launch.

Elden Ring is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
