Among these new additions are six new titles for players to use in The Elder Scrolls Online. Each title is tied to an achievement (or a string of achievements) that players must complete to be able to use. Some are tied to the main quest and are easy to unlock through normal progression, but others require a little bit of patience and are found off the beaten path.

6 The “Hero of Fargrave” Title

The “Hero of Fargrave” title is tied to the very apropos “Hero of Fargrave” achievement. This achievement requires that players complete four other achievements tied to Bosses, Questlines, Delves, and more throughout the Deadlands.

The “Deadlands Master Explorer” achievement is given for discovering and clearing all Delves and Striking Locales in the Deadlands and Fargrave. The “Against All Hope” prerequisite is earned by completing the Deadlands main questline. The “Defender of the Deadlands” achievement is earned by defeating The Unmaker and Mantikora Taupezu Azzida (the two new world bosses). The “Deadlands Grand Adventurer” achievement is earned by completing 14 unique quests in the Deadlands.

It will take completing most of the DLC’s content to get this title, so be prepared to spend a few days in Mehrunes Dagon’s plane and in the city of Fargrave to gain the “Hero of Fargrave” achievement.

5 The “Havocrel Hunter” Title

The “Havocrel Hunter” title is tied to the “Bane of the Havocrels” achievement. This achievement is tied to the three Havocrel Executioners wandering around the Deadlands in a number of possible locations. They tend to stick to a regular path, and Zone chat will typically announce when one is up.

The Wandering Executioner bosses are notably harder than normal World Bosses, though this shouldn’t matter towards the beginning of the DLC’s release when there is no shortage of players willing to take on new content. The three Wandering Executioners to look out for are Irncifel the Despolier, Vorsholazh the Anvil, and Kothan the Razorsworn.

4 The “Catalyst Breaker” Title

The “Catalyst Breaker” title is tied to the “Hopeful Rescuer” achievement. This achievement is tied to the completion of the “Against All Hope” quest, the last quest in the Deadlands quest chain, which is also a pre-requisite achievement for the “Hero of Fargrave” title.

Unlocking the “Catalyst Breaker” title also unlocks the Incarnate Illusion Gem memento, which creates a special effect like the one seen in the fights against Sister Celdina’s Incarnates throughout the main questline.

3 The “Champion of the Deadlands” Title

The “Champion of the Deadlands” title is tied to three achievements, each of which is earned by completing the various steps in the final Gates of Oblivion questline. This secret finale questline is given by Lyranth after completing both the Deadlands and Blackwood chapter questlines and effectively ties the two narratives together.

When the player completes the “Eternal Optimist” achievement, they will unlock the “Champion of the Deadlands” title and complete the year-long story of the Gates of Oblivion at the same time!

2 The “Ardent Hope” Title

The “Ardent Hope” title is tied to the “Friend of the Kalmur” achievement. This achievement can be earned for completing the “Death Stalks the Weak” quest found in the North of the Deadlands just outside the Ardent Hope Citadel. The player is tasked to guide an Orc to their imprisoned clanmates in the Ardent Hope Citadel, and are asked to make an important choice at the end.

The short questline serves as an introduction to the Waking Flame fortress that re-appears later in the Deadlands main quest. Because it only requires the player to complete one quest, this title is one of the easiest to acquire of the six new titles introduced in the Deadlands DLC.

1 The “The Wretched” Title

The “The Wretched” title is tied to the “Spire Sleuth” achievement, which is earned by completing the “Peace’s Wretched Price” side questline in the Deadlands. This quest can be picked up at the Wretched Spire and completed relatively quickly, making it one of the two easy titles to earn in the Deadlands DLC.

This quest takes the player all over the Deadlands and can help to humanize the Bladebearers and other mortals residing in the Wretched Spire. Plus, it’s nice to spend time in areas of the Deadlands that aren’t made up of lava, even if it means listening to thunderstorms constantly.
