RELATED: Most Immersive MMORPGsThere are three methods to reset your Skill Points: by making an offering at specific shrines throughout Tamriel, by using an Armory System “exploit” that has yet to be changed, or by buying a Skill Respec scroll from the in-game Crown Store with real-life money.
Method One: Pay Gold At Specific Shrines
The first (and most popular) way to reset Skill Points in Elder Scrolls Online is to go to a temple and make an offering at the correct altar. Each of the game’s three faction capitals are home to a shine like this - though the God associated with each temple often changes. Shrines like this can also be found in many major DLC cities, like Leyawiin and Vivec.
The Shrines to Stuhn, Stendarr, S’rendarr, and the Father of Mysteries (Sotha Sil) are each dedicated to resetting Skill Points specifically. It’s a bit pricey, though, easily costing more than 10,000 gold to reset all Skill Points at max level. Most of the time, you won’t need to reset all of your Skill Points, so it ends up being a bit cheaper than this.
Method Two: Use The Armory System
The Armory System was added to Elder Scrolls Online with the Deadlands DLC update at the end of 2021. This system gives players multiple slots to load character builds from. These builds are saved from the player’s current loadout, but by always keeping one slot untouched, it’s possible to reset Skill Points for free whenever you like.

When you want to reset Skill Points, head to the Armory station (available for free in the Crown Store) at your Player Home. Load a completely blank “build” onto your character, and you’ll find all of your Attributes, Champion Points, and Skill Points refunded to you. This also unequips everything, so be sure to re-equip your sets before leaving.
Method Three: Pay Crowns For A Skill Point Scroll
The last method for resetting Skill Points in Elder Scrolls Online is to pay for a Skill Point Respec scroll with Crowns, which can be purchased in-game for real-life money. This method is both the most convenient and the most expensive, though.
For the cost of 700 Crowns players receive a scroll that lets them re-spec whenever and wherever they like. 700 Crowns is a pretty good sum, though, and it’s far better to use the Armory or pay the gold cost in-game than purchase new Crowns or use your monthly ESO Plus Crowns for the sake of convenience.
